EA has announced the release dater for Need for Speed: Shift: September 18th in the UK, which is a Friday, although it looks like mainland Europe will get it a day earlier with North America not getting it until the next Monday (though some reports have it as 22nd in North America, the following Wednesday).
Slightly Mad Studios are developing Need for Speed: Shift in conjunction with Black Box, and we’re promised a new first person view that should improve realism and immersion in the game. Patrick Soderlund, Senior Vice President at EA Games Europe reckons: “With Need for Speed SHIFT, we set out to create a racing game that pushes the genre and delivers something never before seen in a Need for Speed title. By focusing on the driver’s experience through the first-person view, we are able to capture the high-speed intensity and gripping emotions of racing.”
As expected Need for Speed: Shift is coming Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
